Belle Isle State park is a great place to visit with your dog. I would recommend going and the short boardwalk trail and down to the small beach on the river (right near the picnic area). They have a very nice visitor center and camp store (no dogs). All the people
we met were friendly and I would visit again! Also make sure to check yourself and your dog for ticks. We found 6 total, 5 on our dog!

Dogs are allowed on the outdoor patio. The patio has nice seating and water bowls for your dog. The food was good and we had a great time!

South County cafe is my favorite spot to eat. Great food and service! Dogs are allowed at the shaded picnic tables and the front porch. A couple other dogs were there at the same time as us. Nice environment!
