Great option
Superior Bathhouse BreweryPlace is dog friendly both on the patio and inside. They have a dog menu. I got significantly more Turkey than I did bacon when I ordered. Beer was great. The waffle fries with caramel sauce I could live on for the rest of my days. Got a doggie bandanna as a souvenir. Highlight of my trip to hot springs
Not dog friendly inside
Kilwins Hot SpringsSign on the door that they are not pet friendly. I did not see it due to it being super small. Got a few steps in before getting kicked out. Never even saw the ice cream. Not particularly tactful about it. Should be removed, but kind of want it to stay on here so you know where not to go.
All right
Steinhaus KellerThere was at least one dog inside but made me sit on the patio just as a storm cleared out. Super expensive $75 all in for one person with two beers and a main. Way smaller portion than what I was expecting. Sauerkraut was good but the pork and sausage and spaetzle were meh. Their website shows a dog menu but they did not have one at the restaurant and no ideas whatsoever about what they could get for my dog. Seems like they could have found a way to get her an $8 sausage. Service was good. Staff was nice.
Dog loved it.
Hot Springs National Park Duck ToursMy dog loved the ride portion of it. Not fond of the boat portion, but still had fun. No trouble boarding with the dog. Some of the criticism with the online reviews were about how a lot of the information on the tour was about restaurants and stuff, but hot springs is a small town with not a huge ton going on so it was fine for what it was. Other reviews state that you do not get a lot of time on the water. I thought the water time was adequate.
They let me in
Gift Shop at Josephine Tussaud Wax MuseumThey let me and my dog in on the condition that I carry her. Maybe not the best experience. Hard to get photos and read the information leaflet in the dark carrying my dog. They were super nice though. Glad to have an indoor activity for my dodog ona hot day
Good dog friendly activity.
Garvan Woodland GardensFairly large garden. Lots of sub areas to explore. A little pricey, and for a $5 dog charge you would hope that there would be some access to water for your dog on a hot day. Online tickets are cheaper but they go to spam folder.
decent but not great
MojitosOur usual Mexican restaurant was affected by a tornado forcing us to seek a dog friendly alternative. It was OK. Price wasn’t objectionable and straightforward including a reasonable drink menu. Fajitas came with no sizzle and seems to get a smaller chimichanga than neighboring tables. My dog Kaylee was tolerated but ignored on the patio. Lots of flies. Glad to have a place to go, satiated my craving for Mexican, and a draft beer, but will be going back to Acamaboro if/when they reopen.
