We have been stopping here for years traveling between Florida and north Georgia. The last time we went (Memorial Day weekend 2020), the park was very run down and filthy. It has not been maintained in quite some time. It was difficult to walk anywhere without stepping in feces. The whole area had a strong odor of urine. We were very disappointed this gem has been so neglected.

No issues checking in and even gave a doggie goodie bag! Clean, spacious rooms, decent sized pet relief area, and free breakfast.

Gorgeous, well maintained campground on Carter's Lake. Very pet friend. Almost everyone camping had their dogs with them. Many of the campsites are waterfront. Our dogs loved playing in the water!
