Rude staff, nothing is free
Sonesta Select Newport MiddletownThe overall grounds are nice for pets. On check-in I was greeted by a rude desk clerk on her cell phone that ignored me for a few minutes then finally ended her call. After I checked in, I proceeded to pick up a couple items in a bin for the dogs. I was stopped and told that I had to purchase those items. Also you even have pay $3.50 a cup for coffee in the morning. They don’t provide you with anything without a fee. I will be going back to the Homewood Suites down the road where I normally stay.
Loved this place
Pelham Court HotelStayed here multiple times with my furry friends. So sad to see they are no longer as pet friendly. There never used to be a pet fee and you were always allowed up to two dogs. Hopefully the policy will loosen and I will be able to stay there again. Until then I will have to look elsewhere.
Great location and room
Homewood Suites by Hilton Newport Middletown RII had a king suite. Very large and separated. My only complaint is there wasn’t much of an area to walk the dogs on grass. They were very small patches of grass. The staff was awesome though, provided the dogs with treats and were very friendly. Rooms offer a lot of space for the dogs and your family.
Hotel was nice, but pet friendly??
Hyatt House Hartford North WindsorThe hotel was nicely remodeled. My main issue was the floor I was placed on. I called the day before to confirm I was noted as having pets with me. They confirmed that I was but could not tell me what floor I would be on, claiming that was computer generated. When I checked in I was placed on the highest floor (7). This presented an inconvenience as it required using the elevator each time and walking them through a series of long corridors.
Pet friendly nice staff
Quality Inn MysticRoom was a bit out dated, but the staff was very friendly and attentive. A large area was provided for you to walk your dog. However the pet waste station was never emptied during my stay and no waste bags were present. The complementary breakfast was quite good and they never ran out of food.
