I run a dog rescue in New Mexico & love to travel, kayak & car camp with my pups!

The Mystic in Santa Fe was a wonderful, safe & cozy place to stop for a restful night. My pup was welcomed with open arms, there is a nice area for them to sniff & explore. He was even allowed into the restaurant to join me for a yummy complimentary breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here & the clean environment for both of us.

I stayed for a quick overnight while driving. There are stickers in all of the “grassy areas” & nowhere safe for my pup to go potty. The room was clean but overall the place is super dumpy & does not feel safe as a solo traveler. I would avoid if you can find another alternative.

My pup ROADIE & I embarked on a coastal adventure from NM & stumbled across Captain Kelley’s dog friendly dolphin experience, which remains one of our most fave activities to date! We loved EVERYTHING about this booking & ROADIE keeps asking when we’re going back, so I just booked another trip! Can’t wait to see Captain Kelley, Skipper & their amazing dolphin friends again! Highly recommend all paws high! Thank you, Captain Kelley for touching our lives in such a meaningful way.

My pup & I stayed last minute during a PNW roadtrip adventure after finding The Canterbury on BringFido. We checked in late & we’re met with hospitality & kindness. The room was super clean, roomy, quiet & secure - with fog provisions waiting nicely. The staff was super dog friendly & accommodating, showering my pup with treats & love!
The on-leash dog area was tidy with nice soft grass for my pup to stretch his legs, do his business & get some sniffs in. We were serenaded by the sounds of the waves & the howling of coyotes as we drifted to sleep - which I loved.
I found the community of Ocean Shores to be kind & welcoming - they even have a small humane society which I encourage you to support.
We will definitely put The Canterbury on our “return to” list - it was a wonderful overnight experience all the way around!
