Not the worst dog park we’ve been to and not the best. As described in other reviews, it’s mostly dirt and not super close to I-80. There are plenty of school ball fields around and wish we would have just stopped at one of those instead (we are very disciplined about picking up after our dogs and they are well-trained enough not to run off).

Has changed to “Scratch Kitchen”. Don’t think they accept dogs

The bakery has closed for good.

Our dogs had a great time walking around Scheels in Johnstown. We had so much fun we totally ran out of time to get the pup cup or bandana. We’ll be back for sure.

They were happy to host our pups. The hotel itself was clean-ish. Bathroom was clean but carpet in room was not nice. Sticky even. However the rate was right (cheap) and it served our purpose as we were attending Frankenmuth Oktoberfest. The rates went way up for the actual weekend and we wouldn’t have been happy to pay $100+ per night. The charge of $20 per dog also seems high but not unusual. We have 2 dogs so paid almost 2/3 above the room rate just for the dog fees. We missed the breakfast so can’t rate that. All in all, I would probably rather pay a little more and stay somewhere else (cleaner) if we came again.

Dogs were very welcome at the annual Oktoberfest in Heritage Park in Frankenmuth. No extra charge, and the other patrons LOVED seeing our dogs at the event. We went on Thursday and Friday afternoon/early evening and have two Aussies. The volunteers staffing were welcoming as were the other attendees. There was plenty of room at the long tables and the music was fantastic.
The vibe was as authentic as an Oktoberfest could be outside Bavaria, Germany. Frankenmuth is the real deal.
Our only disappointment was that the food at the stations and food truck did not offer spaetzle or schnitzel.
The beer was awesome and so were the people. Super fun, totally recommend.

We went on a weeknight evening—huge beer garden with grass, fire pits, picnic tables and loads of dogs. Dogs are allowed inside and out. There was great live music and an excellent food truck. Super relaxed, great beers. All set up for Oktoberfest. Will definitely come back. “Pawsitively” worth a visit!

We took our two well-behaved Aussies on a three day ski trip and stayed at the Hyatt Place Keystone. We found it to be excellent! Dogs are not just tolerated, they are welcomed. Welcome in the lobby, bar and the rooms. The staff were friendly, kind, enthusiastic and hard-working. We particularly appreciated James, who brought us our car (valet parking is no more than the normal parking fee!), held the door for us and gave the dogs treats at every opportunity. Breakfast the first day was great, on the second morning not as good but fine. You’re not staying at a Hyatt Place for the food, let’s be honest. But it was a typical complimentary hotel breakfast and more than adequate.
We will definitely come back as the access to walking trails and skiing were fantastic. There is a shuttle to Keystone lifts and you are 15 minutes’ drive to A-Basin, both of which we skied while there. The elevators were having difficulties and some of the other guests were complaining but the elevator technicians were working hard to sort out the problem. We didn’t think the wait was at all bad.

Oakley and Riva thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tommyknockers. Greeted enthusiastically by our hostess and shown to a booth of our choice, we were indeed asked if they wanted their own beds or were happy to share. Fresh bacon in the server’s pocket sealed the deal. The pet menu features several choices at $5 each.
The Boyfriend and I had a great lunch (Burnt End Sandwich and Salmon Sammich). Fries were great. Wide choice of tasty on-prem beers.
We were seated next to a darling family from Mississippi with young children who loved petting the dogs.
We will plan to always stop here on our way up and down the mountain in the future whenever we are with the dawgs. Great spot. Great service.
(Parking was mentioned in a previous review—we parked less than a block away on the street no problem parking charge was via an app and was $5 min for 2 hours. NOT the $50 mentioned above/below)
