This hotel was clean but very worn. Areas in the bathroom had been patched but not repainted, carpet worn. When I checked the room rate when I arrived at the hotel, it was $114 with $50 pet fee. I was charged $164 and claimed the pet fee would be $25. In total we were charged $215 for a VERY marginal hotel stay.

We stopped at Miguel’s after a long day of travel. It was like a beautiful oasis on the patio where our pup was welcomed with a bowl of cool water and we sat by a lovely fountain. I got the fajita grilled chix salad and my husband got the brisket nachos. Both dishes were FABULOUS!! Highly recommend! We would be regulars here if we lived in Abilene!

We took our dog with us to eat on the covered patio at the birdhouse and expected your typical go-hum fried chicken-it was anything but that! I got the salad with honey butter chix and it was so delicious and huge! My husband was able to mix his chicken, spicy and original with fries. The portion of fries was huge and we both enjoyed them. We enjoyed the self- serve set up with ordering and soda refills. The location gives you a “throwback ” vibe as it is a re-purposed drive-in restaurant. People were friendly, relaxed atmosphere for our dog and really delicious food. Max bones rating for this place!!

We enjoyed the food here a lot-but the portions seemed a bit small for the price. The covered patio and picnic table seating was very comfortable for our pup and us. It was a bit cool when we visited but there were overhead heaters which helped a lot and we stayed nice and warm! Our server was very kind and offered to bring water for our dog but ultimately forgot, which was fine as they had a water cooler out there and we always carry a bowl with us. If you like BBQ, this def a dog friendly winner!

We stopped here for lunch and discovered the most amazing food!! The chicken cheesesteak is a yummy mix of flavors which go so well together! My husband got the shrimp and grits which was a special for the day and doesn’t regularly appear on the menu- he said it was some of the best he has had. The food was so good that we returned the next day!! Outdoor, picnic table seating and pups are invited to sit outside with you. The warm hospitality and the quality of the food make Barnyard Betsy’s a must if you are near Creswell or headed to OBX!!

Cute little sandwich shop with delightful cookies and baked goods. Outside seating by a busy road in the city. Food was good. We got the Chef salad and Rueben, neither were probably the house specialties. We felt welcome with our pup

We stopped at this place to get some low country seafood. While they didn’t have a large variety of seafood, what we got was still delicious. I got a salad with grilled shrimp and my husband got the jerk chicken sandwich. Both were delicious! One of the employees, maybe owner or chef came out to give our pup a homemade treat. The outdoor seating is ample and in the front of their building. Would recommend!

We stopped by this coffee shop because it was close to Pettigrew SP and on our way to OBX. We were told the biscuits were their specialty so my husband got one as a sandwhich. He said it was one of the best he had ever had! I have a feeling the menu shifts because we were told that today they had breakfast sandwiches made with egg, cheese, and biscuit/bagel/or croissant and bacon/sausage or ham. Exactly what we were looking for! Really great food! My husband got a coffee also. They have seating outside in the front of the building and you can sit and watch the cars go by in this small town. Highly recommend, our pup was welcomed.

We stopped by for a late lunch on the way to the coast. ALL of the staff were so nice and welcoming to our pup, brought water and offered a slice of bread. Our Tink felt like a rockstar!! Ample parking area for the RV, food good, staff and service exceptional! Really felt the southern hospitality here!!
We went here for lunch and it was delicious! Sat in the courtyard with our pup and felt very welcomed. Would definitely recommend!

The food here was great we split the Well Fed Pick Four and it was delicious! The ribs and brisket were the best of the 4 meets we got. Our dog was very comfortable on the patio. They didn’t offer to bring her water, but that never matters to us because we always carry a bowl with us. The service was a bit slow and I even had to go and ask at the hostess stand about placing our order. Eventually a server did come out and the service improved from there.

We ate at Cheddars last night with our pup. It was beautiful to sit on their patio. There are lots of flowers and a water fountain feature which was lovely. The service was great and they offered water for our pup! The food was also delicious, we got the champions meal (chicken tenders) and split it. Definitely recommend this spot for dinner with dogs!!

We had grilled chix sandwich with mushrooms and the daily special of chicken fried chix sandwich. The grilled chicken was very tough and even difficult to cut through which was so surprising. The location was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating to our pup.

The fried catfish and shrimp were great, loved the dill tartar sauce! We sat at a picnic table in the side yard. This is near a busy road, so there is no ambiance, but the food is good and your pup can come. The guy taking our order was super friendly and kind.

The staff here is very friendly. Brought ice water for our pup. The food was ok, not great. We went on Sunday around 1pm and they stop serving at 2 on sunday. The grits were a little thick like they had been on the stove for awhile but otherwise pretty good.

The food was good but sitting outside was not enjoyable due to the traffic rushing by and loud exhausts. I guess, “to be expected”, but still not that enjoyable.

We are visiting Texas from Ohio and decided to get steak. It was great! The service was wonderful. Our dog was very happy and our server brought her some cheese and bacon-woof!! She loved it! Great place to take your dog and enjoy a great meal!!

dogs are not allowed inside and there is no outdoor seating at this location.

We came here for lunch and were welcomed to the patio with our pup. Our server brought her some water and was quick to get our order. The food was great! We got the pulled pork platter with mashed potatoes and gravy and the wing lunch special with salad bar. The food was delicious! Would definitely come back!!

Don't Let the location fool you! We got a BBQ chicken pizza and the chopped salad. It was all outstanding!! We were escorted to the back patio and our pup was welcomed with a bowl of water. The service was excellent and really, the food was so delicious!! Loved our evening here and so did our pup!!
