Pricey but nice
Sheraton Suites Columbus WorthingtonOur suite was clean, modern, and spacious. There is a decent dining room where one can sit outside with a dog, although we brought the food up to our room. The hotel is also near several local restaurants. The parking lot is well lit and seems safe, and there is a good-sized lawn and garden for dog walking.
I would sit, stay, and roll over here anytime!
Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello an IHG HotelClean, well decorated, super friendly staff, excellent location. A good value for the money! It’s also fun to see so many dogs around. I did get a much better rate here on BringFido than when I had to add an extra day through Holiday Inn itself.
Great for large dogs
Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown an IHG HotelThis is next to a nice park and the river walk. I was happy to have space for my standard poodle to get a real walk in. It’s within walking distance to downtown and just a mile from the area hospitals. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.
Basic but pricey
MainStay Suites Detroit Auburn HillsThe room was clean and not run down, but rather simple and spare. No good dog walking area, just parking lot islands, and lots of poop on those (do better, dog owners!). With the $50 “non-refundable deposit” (why don’t they just say “fee”?) on top of the regular bill, you’re paying for way more than you get.
Excellent Cuban Food
Pipo'sThe food was excellent, the service was over-the-top (three different people checked to make sure we were happy), and they were very nice to our dog. This is a place where you order at the counter so it might be hard for just one person with a dog. It’s on a busy road so the patio is a bit loud, but nothing that interfered with our enjoying Cuban pork, plantains, sangria and cafe con leche!
Meh
Baymont by Wyndham Dayton NorthOur dog was fine, but the humans were not impressed. I had to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to come to the desk. Then it took her 10 minutes to find my reservation. I had to show her on my phone that I had called merely 3 hours before! The room was not very clean, and there were guys partying in the parking lot, gathered around a truck with open containers. Even our DoorDash driver expressed concern about them! My husband did like the free breakfast in the morning. In summary, if you are desperate for a dog friendly place for the night, this is fine, but otherwise not recommended.
Looking Forward To Bringing My Baby!
Mari VineyardsThis is a fun place on Old Mission Peninsula with views of Traverse Bay. Really good wine! I wish it had been listed so I knew I could bring out favorite family member!
Super Friendly!
Ludington Bay Brewing Co.They made sure we had a seat in the shade so our pup wouldn’t get too warm. They brought his water at the same time as ours. The beer was great, too!
Terrific Barbecue
Sweet P's BBQ and Soul HouseGreat barbecue with a view of a marina on the Tennessee River. Staff and guests alike were super friendly. We were just passing through but it was definitely worth a slight detour.
