Okay, you can walk your dog here but there's really not much to see. One of the least interesting national historic sites we've been to. Much better activities to explore in the area, such as Olana in Hudson.

Great place for a stroll with your dog. Free to enter. Plenty of parking. The Ridge Rd gives you spectacular views of the Hudson valley.

Smalltown grocery with nice selection of freshly made Sammies and great dessert options. Six outside tables for lunch with the pups.

We had a good time here. We were sitting with our pups on the large patio with a great view of the Hudson River. Service was super nice, and the wait for our food was not longer than what you expect on a busy Friday night. They brought and refilled water for the dogs. The food was not amazing but solid, the desserts actually really good (strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits was the winner). I'll be happy to come back anytime.

We came here for ice cream and didn't regret it. A somewhat small selection but what we sampled, we liked. Outdoor seating in the back.

Kind of hidden on the backside of a warehouse. Plenty of outdoor space for the pups to hang out. Bbq chicken sandwich was excellent. Happy to come back anytime.

Dogs are allowed on leash or under voice control. Trails were well maintained. Nice hike down to the Hudson. Not so nice back up again... probably okay if you're young and fit but at my age it was quite strenuous. There's a "quarry site" with absolutely nothing to see. The overlook is probably fine in fall or winter but in the summer the view was blocked completely by trees between the bench and the river. We met a couple of other folks with dogs.

Great place to hang out if you love modern art or just want to walk your dog. And it's free! On a hot and humid day in early September it was too much to take it all in on one day so we came back the next.

Two small tables outside which were always taken so not easy to hang out with the pups. Coffee was strong but just okay. Sterile atmosphere inside.

Two tables in front, about six or so more on the side, so plenty of space for the pups to hang out. Bagels were excellent and loaded.

One of the dog-friendliest places I've been to, and I've been to many. Nice outdoor patio. Everyone was fawning over our Labs. Treats. Water. Petting. Pups were happy. And humans too. The burgers were huge and tasty. Flatbread was excellent. We didn't try their famous prime rib. Happy to come again anytime.

Very dog friendly. Got treats and a plastic water bowl when I checked in. Rooms very spacious, clean, functional. Nothing to complain about. Plenty of airing space. The only issue for me was that breakfast doesn't start until 7:30, which was way past when I had to leave.

I have stayed at many LQs, this one wasn't the finest. As you'd expect from an LQ it was clean with nice decor. However, there was no cold water, even after letting it run for a couple of minutes it stayed lukewarm, which my dog did not appreciate. Two tubes of moisturizer but no shampoo or body wash. Limited airing space.

I've stayed here many times. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good, not great airing space for dogs. The only downside is it is beginning to look very dreary. A gray concrete slab with no attractive features. Other LQs have been renovated; this one is in dire need of it.

Great food, great beer, super dog friendly. Bring water for the pooches. Only issue, it can be very crowded, and parking can be a problem.

Great pizza (try the 495 Southbound) and great BBQ (excellent pulled pork sandwich). Good selection of beers. Reason for 4 stars is that the tables for dogs are limited.

Good coffee, good sandwiches, good pastries. Two or three benches outside to hang out with the pooches. Nice place to grab a coffee or a lunch sandwich.

Expansive network of trails. Easy to get lost. We were there on some super hot days in July but most trails are in the woods so very doable. No mosquitos! Dogs that are under voice control can go off leash, Free, spacious parking. Water for Fido from a spigot at the parking lot. Trails are easy and super well maintained. Not very busy.

Not a huge selection of flavors but pretty good and something for everyone. Very reasonably priced. Dogs can join you on the patio.

Couldn't care less for Edith Wharton but I loved the extensive sculpture collection in the gardens. Super dog friendly. You can sit with the dogs on the cafe's patio, which had a small but interesting menu. They even brought a bowl of water.

Entry fee is only required if you want to go inside the house. Grounds are free. Night and day compared to Otis Quarry, which we did in the morning for which we paid $10 to find dismally maintained trails and litter and vodka bottles all over the place.

The Mount should be on you A list for travel with dogs in the Berkshire!

Stopped here per BringFido ratings. Back to the 50s flair. Unfortunately, the same was true for food and coffee. The coffee was--bad. Bacon had a texture that would make Mister Elastic envious. On a Sunday morning their bakery offerings was exactly one blueberry muffin and a handful of chocolate chip cookies that turned out to be super dry. Not a place I need to visit again any time soon-or ever.

Directions took us to nowhere. Used AllTrails to find the trail head for Gorge Trail to Felton Lake. Access road is--bad. A challenge even for an SUV. Parking is almost non existent. Trail itself is STEEP and packed with mosquitoes and horseflies. Not much to see either. Felton Lake itself was nice, quiet, and with scenic views.

Never stayed at a Spark before. Positively surprised. Clean, functional rooms. Dog friendly. Airing space. Convenient location close to Mystic attractions and the highway. Fly in the ointment: pervasive smell of marijuana on the floor we stayed on. I don't know why hotel staff doesn't do anything about it. Not just once, but every day we stayed here.

I travel a lot with my dogs but until recently I'd never stayed at a "…by Hilton" hotel. But over the last couple of months I stayed at a few Hilton midlevel properties–Tru, Spark, and now Hampton Inn– and enjoyed each stay a lot. The Hampton Inn in Augusta is conveniently close to the highway. Mexican restaurant right next door. Plenty of parking and airing space for dogs. Reception was super friendly. Rooms were absolutely clean and looked almost new. The only little nit to pick is that the in-room fridge didn't have a freezer compartment. Breakfast was the usual stuff, plus waffles and egg-and-cheese omelets. Will be happy to come back here any time.

I'd say best Red Roof Inn I've been to in a while. Clean room. Friendly front desk. Plenty of space to walk the dogs. Plenty of dining options within a two minute drive. Tight parking. Never got really hot water out of the faucet.

When I checked into my room, two of the towels provided were--black. Dirty as if used to clean a dog. Thankfully there was one clean towel so I was okay. Trash bin in the bathroom had not been cleaned. Room smelt like pot. On the plus side, the bed was clean and the heating system working well, as was the fridge. Didn't have a chance to bring these issues up with management as the office is only open from 8 to 6 (and closed on Sundays) m, and I had to leave before 8, returned after 6, and had no opportunity to call during the day. Friend of mine stayed here too and didn't have any problems with dirty towels so mine was probably just an anomaly. Plenty of airing space for dogs on the field across from the hotel.
