We absolutely love Scottie’s on the River! Not only is the food fantastic for humans, but they truly go above and beyond for dogs.

Unlike many places that automatically seat guests with dogs off to the side, they welcomed us and gave us a front-row table right by the river, which made the experience even more special. Our dog Bernie was treated like a VIP — without us even asking, they immediately brought him a bowl of cold water.

Of course we couldn’t resist ordering him a burger patty with cheese, which he devoured in seconds. 🐶

The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is genuinely excellent. It’s rare to find a place that is both great dining and truly dog-friendly, but Scottie’s nails it.

Absolutely recommended if you’re visiting with your dog!

Our recent stay at the Historic Rocky Waters Motor Inn was absolutely wonderful – not just for us humans, but especially for our dog, Bernie! 🐾From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. The front desk receptionist was completely smitten with Bernie (we get it – he’s adorable 😉) and went out of her way to make sure we felt at home. It wasn’t just dog-friendly – it was dog-loving.

We were given a very spacious room at the far end of the property, which was perfect for a bit of peace and quiet. Just steps away was a grassy area where Bernie could do his business comfortably – so convenient! The room itself was large, clean, and felt more like a cozy retreat than a standard hotel. Bernie gives 5 out of 5 paws for the hospitality, comfort, and all the attention he got – and we wholeheartedly agree. It’s a rare treat to find such a warm, pet-friendly spot that also offers great value for the price. We’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Rocky Waters, for making our trip to Gatlinburg feel like home. ❤️🐶

🌟 4/5 – Great food and service, but outdoor setup needs improvements for hot days

We visited Burg Steakhouse based on a BringFido recommendation and overall had a lovely time! The food was delicious, and our server was incredibly attentive and friendly. The staff clearly made an effort to be welcoming to guests with dogs, which we really appreciated.

However, we want to gently point out that the outdoor seating area, while dog-friendly, could use some adjustments—especially in the summer heat. It was 91°F (33°C) during our visit. Thankfully, we were seated at a table in the shade, but another family with a dog was placed in full sun on metal chairs that were extremely hot to the touch. While there were fans present, they didn’t provide much relief in the midday sun.

We understand that outdoor seating comes with limitations, but perhaps a few umbrellas, cooling mats, or a misting system could help make the experience safer and more comfortable for both pups and their humans.

We’re still very grateful to have found a dog-friendly place in such a central location, and would definitely come again—just maybe not at the hottest time of day.

Bernie and I had an absolutely wonderful time at **Yucatan Waterfront Restaurant** in Matlacha! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—especially Bernie, who was given a **fresh bowl of water** right away. We scored a **perfect spot by the water**, where we could enjoy the stunning views while Bernie relaxed by my side.

The **dog menu here is fantastic**! We ordered one of their **Frisbee Bowls** (which Bernie got to keep—such a fun souvenir!), and he devoured every bite of his meal. The **Bow-Wow Beef Bowl** was a hit, with tender Angus steak, rice, and peas.

As for the human food—**delicious!** The seafood was fresh, the flavors were vibrant, and the laid-back waterfront vibe made the meal even more enjoyable.

Overall, this is a **must-visit** for dog owners looking for great food, a **dog-friendly atmosphere**, and unbeatable scenery. Bernie left happy, full, and already dreaming of our next visit!
