We had a wonderful time tasting wine with our pups at Moonstone! Super nice people, knowledgeable and great wine. We tasted 12 different wines with our pups after hiking in the Redwoods! Went home with a fun experience and 2 bottles for the holidays!

Had a wonderful time in Cabin A pet friendly cabin at Emerald Forest Cabins! Super clean and comfy. Full kitchen, wood stove, nice big bathroom with ample hot water. Floors are heated. Great access to the Redwoods.

Do you like getting sleep? Then this is NOT the place to stay without earplugs, fans and lots of sleeping pills. There was so much horrible noise all night long we didn't sleep at all. Banging doors people moving heavy equipment under our room late at night. The king bed was hard as a rock and the sheets were brown and dingy. Our room service breakfast was late and cold. We got a room with a private bath, but the men's lavatory was right next to our room and people let the door slam all night long. The girl behind the check-in desk seemed super annoyed when you had any questions.
They double charged us for our dogs to stay. Should have been $30 per dog so $60 total, but they double charged $120 plus tax! Got really annoyed with me when I called to have the double charge refunded. We were told no dogs in the two restaurants (which makes total sense), but that we could pop into the small bars with them to get passport stamps. Two of the bartenders yelled at us to get out with our dogs in the small outside bars. We said we were told we could just stop inside the door to get stamps. They rolled their eyes and reluctantly stamped the passports. This place is NOT dog friendly, don't be fooled. Stay somewhere else! This is the 4th time I have stayed at Edgefield and the LAST! It is really sad how far down hill it has gone.

They allow pets, but this resort is 99% geared towards families with young children. Parents come to drink and let their children run wild. We found kids behaving horribly in just about every setting on this resort. Kids were kicking balls directly at our dogs inside common areas. Our dogs were more behaved than all the feral children. Also found a 4 year old wandering unaccompanied by an adult in a parking lot, walked around for a while with the child and went into one of the restaurants to find the mother drinking unaware her kid was out in the lot alone. This is not a romantic couples getaway place, or a place that also caters to dog parents. Our first room was so gross they upgraded us to a suite with a kitchen which was the only saving grace to the weekend. If you have kids and a dog this is probably a good place for you.

We had an incredible stay at the Bowline Hotel in Astoria! We ALWAYS travel with our dogs and were shocked at how pet friendly this hotel was. This hotel is truly "PET FRIENDLY." We got an amazing room in the Ice House. Most hotels give you the worst rooms when you bring your dogs. The view was breathtaking, the room was SUPER clean and the staff was very friendly.
Another bonus was this hotel had valet parking, so no need to hunt for a lot or spot on the street. Checkout wasn't until noon! Which doesn't seem like a big deal, but we were able to walk to the Sunday market and relax with the view and not have to rush to pack up and check out. It was right in the middle of everything in town as well. We were able to walk to everything!
After reading the reviews we were worried about sleeping with the sea lions, but the ear plugs provided and fan (which we sleep with at home anyway) we brought worked great. Even our dogs got used to hearing the Sea Lions. We will absolutely stay here again when we travel to Astoria!
