Great off leash location.

There are two places to park to get here. One is on RT.3 and the other is just up the street in the upper parking lot. We started from the street location. We kept on the main Carriage path and stayed to the left. There were signs leading back to the pond but we continued on heading towards the upper lot, once we reached the lot area we took Friends path back down to where we parked on the road. Once we we're far enough from the street we let our Lab off leash. Everyone we ran into was friendly as we're their dogs.

Perfect vacation when you don't want to leave the pup behind.

We traveled here in April during the off season. A large majority of Park Loop Road that brings you through Acadia was closed at the time however, some of the road was open where you could access Sand Beach, Thunderhole and hike to Otter Cliff. There weren't many people there during that time so it was quiet and the weather was beautiful. June 15 - September 8 no dog are allowed on Sand Beach. So many hiking options throughout the Park. Check out the visitor center on Cottage Street for good recommendations on dog friendly paths.

Great location and price

Recently stayed here with our lab. There was a pet fee of $25 per night. There are no pets allowed in the inn but there is a separate building they call the Annex with pet friendly rooms. The downstairs rooms have a small kitchenette with a queen bedroom. The upstairs units we were told have a larger kitchen and king bedroom. Staff were friendly and have great recommendations of places to go/things to do. Perfect location, 5 minute walk to Main Street with plenty of dog friendly shops.
