There is a stone drive to the top. We weren't sure of that until we saw a local couple on foot encourage us to go to the top where there is wide open flat parking. Just follow the stone road! Unbelievably scenic and worth the stop. You could spend more time hiking around - we just treated it more like a scenic stop.
