Don't Ever Stay Here!

Social housing motel. $900 worth of damage done to my car by disgruntled drug affected ex-housing tenant. Promised I would be fully reimbursed but wasn’t! Appalling management!

Great value

This was a great spot to stay with my dog. The cabins are a little tired and cramped but perfect for what we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t stay there if there are more than 2 per basic cabin or if you don’t like hearing the roar of trucks throughout the night as it’s right on the highway. Exceptionally clean and tidy. I noticed some had private grassy fenced yards, but I may not have paid for that.

Beautiful rooms for the price

These rooms have recently been refurbished and are lovely. They are well equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster etc. but there was no cutlery or crockery besides cups for the tea and coffee. Perhaps they had forgotten to restock? Room 22 was up a flight of external stairs which made it difficult to unload our belongings and dog crate etc. out of the car. However they did offer to help. The car parking is complimentary and right near the stairs. Limited grass apart from the nature strip to allow the doggos to toilet. I would gladly stay here again though as it represents good value.

Good as a last resort

I didn’t have much choice needing something that was pet friendly, but it did the job. Not a very warm welcome but the housekeeper was extra lovely.

Average

Considering it was a last minute booking, I was grateful that we had somewhere to stay but this motel was “tired” and the room we were allocated was close to the road and extremely noisy. Wedged between a service station and a Liquorland store, it was anything but peaceful and you could hear people talking next door and outside very easily. There was also a smoky, stale smell in the room and I wondered if that’s why when I arrived the front door was wide open. Management were hospitable and the reception end of the building was much more welcoming and calming being right on the Tweed River.

Great pet friendly motel!

Very happy with our stay. Quiet and cozy considering it’s right next to the pub. Large grassy area. Didn’t eat at the hotel but It looked like a fantastic place to dine or have a drink. Beer garden looks inviting too
