First experience at the beach

Autumn was there early morning in late September 2018. The beach was cold and foggy, before people would be out there to enjoy sunny beach activities. It is not an off leash area, so I would play it safe and keep doggy close. No poop bags, so bring your own. Please pick up after your dog since we all are bare feet. It is nice to let the dogs see, smell, and experience the ocean. I will need to take her there again.

Sad Little City of Los Angeles Dog Park

Granted that I have only been to a handful of dog parks. I visited this abandoned corner of Griffith Park in the morning of October, 2022. In my opinion, Griffith Park, being so large, should be the home to least two or three dog parks. There is 2 areas for the dogs. I visited the large dog area - a single concrete table and benches, two sad cobbled drinking fountains, and a 8' high perimeter chain link fence. It's general location is convenient but the park is at the end of a long lonely road by the freeway. No fighting for parking. No grass or bark, just hard packed dirt. God the nearby freeway traffic is loud! The dog park has great shade and the people were nice. I hate to say it, but find another dog park elsewhere.

All visitors to any dog park

Today, visitors brought their new dog to my dog park. Please read the rules posted on the fence. You are responsible for your own dog. Don't lay your hands on anyone else's dog except your own.

This foolish couple brought their young, unspayed, untrained, and yet unnamed dog <just got the dog> into the park. Other dog gave warning. <At this point, you should not bring your dog into the immediate area - common sense>. The visitor dog was confronted by the growling dog. The foolish man picked up the growling dog in an attempt to throw it over the fence. Growling dog's female owner took acception and attacked said foolish man. Of course short story, police was called. Reports made. It was ugly.

Foolish man, if you laid hands on my dog, it is an attack on me. You should have grabbed your own dog. The other dog's owner is responsible for theirs. You should learn how to control your dog and read the Dog Park Rules before entering.

Nice beach for a day visit

Not crowded during our stay in June 2019. A few dogs on the beach. Free parking south of the pier - yes! There is a mid sized lot there. Poop bags available at the entry points, but trash cans are rare beyond the pier proximity.

Very first dog friendly hotel experience

Oxford Suites sets the bar for us. Heard floor surface. Dog run (small, but alright). Cleaning fee is reasonable. Staff is great - Thanks Nathan!

nice rest stop - kinda hard to find

Beautiful dog park. Great lawn. Well manicured. Big enough to throw a ball/toss a frisbee.

Have and have-nots

Came to visit Pismo Beach. Went here to visit. To be a large dog, suxxx big time. Coarse wood, very little shade. Contrast that with beautiful green grass and nice shade trees.
