Dogs May Not Mind, But Humans Beware!

I expected SO much more from a facility with the Wyndham name! Never again will I trust the photos Wyndham posts for their facilities, and will never trust to book ahead...heck, this experience has turned us off from Wyndham hotels entirely! The grounds are weedy and unkempt. The lobby is dark and unwelcoming. The whole facility feels seedy and unsafe…I can’t even imagine taking our dog outside in the evening before bedtime by myself! But the rooms, by far, are the most tragic aspect of the hotel during our experience! Chipped drywall, rust stains in the toilet, unknown stains/drips/spills everywhere, torn furniture/lamp shades, and just a stale musty odor that permeates everything!

Here's the best (worst!) part of the story - the attendant at the front desk neglected to tell me that the water would be shut off for "about an hour." (So said the haphazardly handwritten sign in light pink highlighter I noticed on the counter AFTER we had checked in and were carrying in our bags from the car! After reading another review on another site, the “about an hour” seems to have ended up being more like 4 hours!) The only good thing I can say about our experience is the front desk attendant understood our finding the accommodations unacceptable, and the charge for the room did not get processed.

Hidden Treasure

Very clean and perfect size for small dogs. (Also larger section for bigger dogs that we did not check out.) First time at a dog park with our new little rescue, and he had a blast!
