Good food - ideal setup for pets
FreshPets are allowed to dine outside, but come early or plan to wait for a table because reservations are for indoors only. The food was really good.

Very pet friendly
Cedar Crest InnThe innkeepers are very accommodating and there were lots of friendly pets on site with lots of green space for them to move about. I did feel that the housekeeping staff was somewhat lackluster… they did not appear to be short staffed, but we had to inquire as to whether or not someone was going to come and clean out room after watching them come and go from other rooms, and all they did was replace towels in the bathroom… they didn’t make the bed. I felt that to be a bit weird. The rooms are a bit musty but there are no pet odors, so that’s good.

Didn’t Really Work
The Pier RestaurantRan to The Pier to get out of the rain. First, we were all but ignored at the hostess station. Sent my boyfriend to inquire inside and was told that the only pet friendly seating was at the uncovered outside tables at the bar. Would have been great had they not been soaked from the rain. But - there were lots of dogs at the bar and nobody complained. Seems like a good place... the timing just wasn’t right for us.

Plenty Of Space
Marina Cafe and PubCame on a Tuesday during 4th of July week during prime lunchtime and had no trouble being seated right away. I agree that it’s a great spot off the beaten path and away from the crowds in Newport. The food was reasonably priced and tasty.
