We were moving from Texas to Ohio, and stopped here for our first night on the road. We had no problems with check-in, and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. There were no issues with having our dog with us, and we didn’t really notice noise from other guests while we were there. Overall, it was a very pet-friendly, good experience!

We chose this because we needed a hotel that was pet friendly while we moved across the country. We thought that since this was a Holiday Inn, it would be decent. When we checked in, we were told that since we had a dog, we would have a room with an exterior door entrance all the way around the back of the resort. We were also told that we were not allowed to bring our dog through the hotel lobby or in the interior hotel areas. The room we were given was very much at the back of the resort, and the room was mediocre at best.
The hotel feels like it might have hit its heyday in the 80s, and our room hadn’t been updated since that time. There was a mini fridge, but no microwave in the room. We had to go to a communal microwave near the vending machines down the hall if we wanted anything warmed up. I’m giving three stars because the room was convenient for taking our dog in and out for potty breaks, and there was plenty of grass for him to do his thing. But otherwise, it’s really an overpriced two-star (two bone) hotel that we probably wouldn’t stay in again.

We stopped in with our labradoodle Shiloh on our move cross-country. The store is dog-friendly and absolutely adorable, with all sorts of wonderful gifts for humans and pets, fresh flowers, clothing, a dog collar jewelry bar, stuffies, dog toys, and so much more! There is also a big yard on the side of the store for your pet to stretch his or her legs. The owners, Keri and Dave, are the warmest and kindest people you will meet. This is a must-stop if you are anywhere in the vicinity of Edmond or OKC—you won’t regret it, and I promise that you will find something you can’t live without!
