3 cars long...each car had at least one dog. Skeeter was loved, petted, serenaded...and got to sniff and enjoy the mid-way stop. Strongly recommend!

They have an upstairs seating place for dogs or people with dogs that is which means air conditioning is available no matter what. I think that is because there's electric charging stations where they're used to be outdoor seating

Skeeter, Jim and I ate there in July and the beautiful patio was so welcoming (and the waitress/waiter, too, with doggy water bowls of course) that I have to agree..5 bones. Yesterday I took my friend Cindy and her dog Roxie for lunch, and even though the new waiter had never heard of it, he brought a Pupachino for the dogs. (Hint: just whipped cream in a tiny bowl or cup.) We spent a pleasant lunch occasionally holding down a spoon of whipped cream, and the anticipation kept both terriers alert and polite the whole meal. THANK YOU!!! (and it was only $2).

In addition to human food, Skeeter got a $5 lunch that included (her choice of) brown or white rice, plus a pattie cooked medium rare, and peas and carrots. As you can see by the picture...she avoided kibble and went for the bowl!

May 2021 update: STILL like Comfort Inn for same reasons as 2019, but as of mid-May, pool still closed and breakfast still boxed *unlike Marriotts in Nevada and Utah which are now following current COVID CIS guidelines and have their breakfast bars back.
The hotel manager loves dogs and she gave great advice about the dog park, where to eat, and how to walk the pup. The relief station is a nicely done strip of (real) grass, stocked with bags and cans. Behind the hotel is a large open field for romping (once you get around the flooded street from earlier rains). Was there late July 2019.

The patio was comfortable in 100 degrees! VERY dog friendly owner, waitresses, and other customers. Good food with a Northern Ca flair!

Husband and I stayed and a very pet friendly room in June 2019. It was clean, spacious, and well appointed with extra room for our dog bed. The woman had checked us and obviously love dogs, knew where they could exercise off leash for fun, and showed us where the nice grassy relief station was.
