To accommodate our pup the desk person put us in a room right next to the grassy area which was well-maintained and well lighted. The room was newly renovated and very clean with refrigerator and microwave. The Chinese restaurant across the parking lot was very good.

We arrived at 3:45 (3:00 check in) and our room was not ready. They wanted us to leave our bags and return later but it was 103 outside and I explained we couldn’t leave our cat and dog in that heat. Frankly, I was hot, tired, and pretty grumpy but the concierge found us another room which I very much appreciated. I guess they’re having a problem with housekeeping because everything else was outstanding. Clean and well-appointed rooms, pet, and pool area and a fantastic breakfast.

Here’s the beach hack for this location for dog owners. Drive back under highway 1 and turn right on Dunes Drive. Take that all the way to the end and there’s a trail to the beach where you can take your dog(s). They must be leashed, but I figure that’s a small price to pay for the protection of the endangered snowy plover.

I love this friendly place. The staff is very accommodating and seem genuinely to like pets. Most importantly, they keep the poop bags stocked and empty the trash can regularly. If you stay here, make sure you check out the off-leash park in Marymoor which includes a dog washing station. $1 to park but well worth it.
