We stopped here for breakfast on our drive from Charlottesville to Appomattox . Easy street parking , great location on Main Street. We sat on the side porch with our pooch . Water was provided for her. The two types of quiche , scones and coffee were all delicious. Found some books to buy . Highly !

We had read about the village in a recent Bring Fido email so we drove 5 hours to check it out. Worth the drive! The two guides we had , Mary and Jordan , were so interesting and enthusiastic! We learned so much from them about the Native Americans who lived in the area 500 years ago. Our dog was welcome in the nice gift shop and on the tour of the recreated village. It was a perfect fall day in Western Virginia.
