I have to travel with a Great Pyrenees. He is very much a one-person dog so pet sitters are out and due to medical issues, cannot stay in a boarding kennel. It is hard to find a hotel that will take a giant breed dogs so I was grateful to find one near the training I had to attend in Alexandria. The hotel and my room was clean, the bed had a mattress cover against bedbugs and they supplied a limited continental breakfast every morning. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The tile grout in the bathroom could have been cleaner, but I had really no complaint about the room. They do not have Do Not Disturb signs so I had to make my own Do Not Enter - Large Dog Inside sign to tape on the door. I would recommend they get some. The vending machine was out of order which meant no bottle water or sodas which was the worst of it. Convenient stores are not on every corner in Alexandria so the hotel should have made sure the vending machines were operational. The hotel is nicely located in a great neighborhood to walk a dog with a small park less than 1/2 mile away and sidewalks are everywhere. Plus the price was very reasonable for Alexandria. I would stay there again without hesitation.
