Go to the park to the left
Red Hills Desert GardenWe never made to the gardens we parked by the park and started going all over the different rock areas! So much to see! We doing the gorge and a cave.
It is very dog friendly. Depending on time of year
Zion National ParkWe had a fabulous time! The shuttles weren’t running so we explored the entire park with our pups! There were so many places they could go! But if the shuttles are running there is still lots to see by the visitor center where the dogs can go and a long trail with 3 bridges across the way from
The visitor center follow the signs. The water has algae not good for the pups right now so had to be careful by the river to not let the pups get their faces in. The trail was long and gorgeous views! They also started a BARK program so get your pups a book and get it stamped! This time of year was perfect! March!
Fun exploring
Goldwell Open Air Museumwalking around the statues and the town of fun for the pups. there are trails around as well.
Gorgeous location and all the comforts of home!
Sonoma Coast VillaYou drive past lush green fields of cattle and to a beautiful oasis of trees. Once you park and go inside to check in you are escorted to your room. The rooms are gorgeous. Tile warm floors, fireplace, lots of space for the pups. There are trails all around the property to roam around and walk the pups. There is a grassy area outback that looks like a wedding location with a courtyard area for the reception. The pups loved running around and meeting the bulls at the fence. We saw deer and there was a hooting owl at night. Back to the room. There is a patio area that is in front of your room. To get to a grassy area you do need to leave your room and we appreciated having a room towards the back to take them out at night. We have bigger dogs and they had plenty of room. We enjoyed the fire place and the nice touches in the rooms like a rug for the floor in the bathroom! Pump soap to wash your hands instead of a slippery little bar of soap. Lots of hooks in bathroom to hang things like the leashes! Fire wood outside your door. Fire-starters in the Firestove ready to go.. All the staff were very helpful. Don’t miss the library sitting area up the spiral staircase. Putting green. Movies on the patio. Breakfast was delivered each morning, muffin, croissant, yogurt, OJ. Kurig coffee and tea in the room with a small fridge. Things were a little different due to covid like no daily housekeeping but you can request anything that you need and the staff brings to you. Mask are required on property right now. Definitely stay here if you are in the area! It’s so nice compared to a normal hotel room! We had a King room and it was so spacious. Small couch, table and chairs,
Bathroom
Had both a jacuzzi tub and a shower very big area. If we are in the area again pups or not we will definitely stay here again!
Gorgeous Trails
Anderson Marsh State Historic ParkNIce walk down trails that end where the lake begins. Our pups jumped in before we could stop them hopefully there isn’t still blue green algae. Only complaint was a lot of dog poop left along the way! Ugh!
Pizza With The Pups
Celestino's New York Pizza & PastaTHere is tables outside and the staff does serve you there. The tables are small and you face the parking lot. Pizza is good and so are the salads and extra plus they have gluten free pizza! But that’s it for the dogs not really a dog friendly restaurant sans the outside tables. The picture I saw looked like there was tables outside with grass. Better idea is get the pizza to go and head to the riverfront park and find tables and sit and enjoy your food with a beautiful view of feathers river and all
The jumping fish! Bones review is for location as far as not being a lot of area for the dogs but the food gets gets a five!
