Great for overnight w/ Pooch
Clarion InnNice big comfy bed. Plenty of grassy places nearby. Decent continental breakfast.
Urban Haven for Doggie!
The River InnStayed 2 nights with my Labrador. From the doorman to the desk staff, everyone welcomed us warmly. Hotel was clean, large room with comfy bed and a great location in D.C., just three blocks from coffee, restaurants and a market. Lots of grassy islands for doggie business. I stayed on a weekend so was able to park on the street within two blocks. Otherwise it's a two hour limit and your alternative is $50 a day valet. We would definitely return!
kinda icky
OYO Hotel Castle Rock CO DowntownThe room was clean but the security bracket on door was gone. The hallways reeked of sweat, smoke and lysol. The back door on the north side was unlocked the whole time and the area around was littered with trash, something resembling something disgusting . . . otherwise it was a good deal.
Nice for a Night or Two
Hotel Aspen InnSuites Flagstaff/Grand CanyonOur second time as guests at this hotel. For a winter visit, not so great for the Lab -- all the green area was covered with ice. But, I recall there's a nice trail above the hotel that is quite pleasant in warmer months for a stroll with the doggie. The room seemed spruced up and had an enormous television set -- like a 50 incher. The rate includes a full breakfast that is quite above the average for this price point. Lastly, yes, there is train noise -- but that applies to all of Flagstaff -- don't see how you get around it.
Revised Pet Rules
Red Roof Inn GallupThe current rules posted upon check in list a one pet per room rule and bans leaving your dog unattended. That said, the room is nice. Note that the hotel is on the very far west end of west. Gallup.
Tons of walking space!
La Quinta by Wyndham Cincinnati SharonvilleThis high-rise hotel is located in a neighborhood of many hotels with big broad swaths of lawns. Excellent walking with the pooch, well-lit, and no dog poop to be seen.
