Amazing!

Beautiful scenery! Super clean! Lots of dog poop stations! A couple dog water fountains but not many, so definitely bring water and a bowl. Only thing to warn about is that there is not much shade, so bring an umbrella and wear sunscreen. The ranger station had free water bowls and poop bags for the taking when I went. A ranger even came out and gave my dog treats! Seriously excellent place!

Great food, dog friendly!

The waitresses were so excited to see us walk up with our dog! Their patio is dog friendly. It is completely shaded, so it's safe to go to if it's rainy!

They brought out a water bowl for her and some other doggos that were there, and she got a ton of love and affection!

The food is excellent, great Carolina bbq!!

Great restaurant, great doggo vibes, we had a great time.

Great On-Leash Trails!

Congaree National Park requires dogs to be on a leash at all times, so if you're looking for some off-leash roaming, you might want to consider going elsewhere. We had a great time here with our dog, and we saw lots of other doggos passing by!

There are many trails to choose from, ranging from as short as 0.5 mile (I think there might even be a 0.2 mile one), to as long as 11 miles. The board at the visitor center also says the approximate number of hours it would take to complete them.

There are easy trails that are entirely on a boardwalk, and others are on the ground.

When we went in December 2019, some of the ground trails were flooded, so we did the boardwalk trail and it was gorgeous. The boardwalk railings have fencing so little dogs and kids are safe not to fall through.

Overall very nice time today!

Very cool place! Not just another pub/tavern :)

Dogs are welcome on the patio! The waiter brought my dog a bowl of water before bringing us our own water :) The Whiskey Kitchen is not only a cool place for food and drink, it's an experience. The patio has warmers, however when we were there (December) they only turned one on for us and we were still pretty cold, but if we asked I'm sure they would have gladly turned on more. They were super friendly and accommodating otherwise :) Just an FYI for those interested during summer months where you'll be seeking shelter from direct sun or rain, the patio is not covered. We didn't eat anything, only sampled some whiskey (which was amazing), but the food looked really good! Definitely worth checking out with your doggo for a drinking and dining experience that isn't just another pub/tavern.

Finally somewhere we can bring her INSIDE! :)

We are traveling with our dog from Miami on our way to Massachusetts. It's December, so my dog is experiencing cold temperatures she has never felt before. After discovering that not all patios are adequately heated, we were SO HAPPY to find a place that lets you bring your dog inside the establishment! House of Hops was SO much fun for all of us. Lot's of other happy doggos were there, so she was happy to meet and greet with them. House of Hops doesn't serve food, but there are always food trucks right outside and you're allowed to bring your food inside to eat :) The bar's beer selection is awesome! Overall the best dog friendly experience we had in Raleigh!

Great atmosphere!!

We are from Miami, and our dog Misha has never experienced weather below the 50s. It was 38 degrees outside the night we went to Beer Garden. Their patio warmers are AMAZING. My non-cold-tolerant dog was toasty and warm outside with us while we ate. You can feel the heat on her fur, seriously she was heavenly warm. The waiter immediately brought her some water, too, so the dog service was excellent. Very dog friendly atmosphere, she received a lot of love and attention. I can't begin to explain our appreciation for those patio warmers lol. For those going in the summer time, their patio is completely covered (at least the section we were in), and there are fans. The food was SPECTACULAR (the soft pretzel is a must), and the beer selection is literally insane. 10/10, absolutely loved this place. Please come to Miami!!
