I visited Mitzi Sweet Memorial Dog Park next to Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter today with a friend! I was pleasantly surprised. The dog park is not often visited, but it is a nice and quiet location for dog parents to take dogs of all sizes to run and play. The park has water spouts and tubs for clean, fresh water as well as fenced-off areas for small dogs and large dogs to play. There are trash cans in both play areas to dispose of poop bags and waste. I will definitely be returning and hope to see more renovations in the future!

I am a native of Lawrenceburg and have been bringing my dogs for leashed walks and hikes on the trails and at Shoal Creek for many years. A nice, quiet place to exercise with your pets and get some walks in! The car traffic is light and there is plenty of room in the park to walk a shy or anxious dog who can’t be around other people or pets. There are also campgrounds available for travelers.
