Not What I Expected

Quality Inn Walterboro

I originally booked at The Hampton Inn but was informed that the property had rebranded as a Quality Inn. I don't think this location was ever a Hampton Inn because it was the old-style hotel with doors opening to the exterior. On a positive note, the floors were laminate rather than carpeted and it was inexpensive. It was not very crowded so our doodle wasn't disturbed by noise. There was not much green space for potty breaks, only about a six-foot wide along the front of the hotel next to a somewhat busy road. The people working at the hotel were very nice. I just wouldn't have chosen to stay here.

Great Location Next to Walking Trail

Hampton Inn Columbia I-26 Harbison Blvd

This Hampton Inn was the perfect place for our doodle's first hotel stay on our way from Florida to North Carolina. It is easy to get to from Interstate 26. The most delightful thing about it is that is located right next to a small pond with a wide, paved trail around it. We were able to let our pup stretch his legs after a long drive and the next morning burn off some energy for the remainder of our trip. They were not too crowded so they were able to move us from the 4th floor down to the 1st which was great for easy access. Pets are allowed on the 1st and 4th floors. The first floor has rooms with 2 queen beds and the 4th floor has rooms with king-sized beds. There are plenty of restaurants at this exit. My husband got meals to go and we ate in the room. They do have a nice seating area out by their pool but I'm not sure if dogs are allowed.
