Nice Stay

La Quinta by Wyndham Orlando I Drive/Conv Center

Overall, we liked our stay here. The pool was refreshing and uncrowded. There were grassy areas for our dogs to go potty and the hotel lets you leave your pets in the room if they’re well-behaved. It’s also located near a lot of great dining options on I-Drive and it’s only a short drive to Universal Orlando. The things we didn’t like was that the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast (or a grab-n-go option) even though their website states they do and it was included in our nightly rate. Also, our room did not have a mini-frig or a microwave which was a huge inconvenience with dogs and not being able to save our leftovers or warm anything up. That being said, we would stay here again, but we’d probably wait until after the Covid restrictions have been removed by the hotel regarding breakfast.

Two Dogs Stay Free!

Red Roof Inn & Suites Macon

Enjoyed our stay here. They offered free coffee in the lobby and a hot breakfast buffet. Though, in my opinion, they should really have staff serving the food and/or hand sanitizer placed around each food station. Given the current pandemic, we opted to forego the hotel breakfast as a result, as it just didn’t seem safe. Overall, we liked that our two dogs (one big, one little) stayed for free without any hassle from staff at check-in. In fact, they seemed to be very open to pets in general and didn’t make us stay in a “special pet area” or sign a pet policy form. Just keep in mind that it’s hard to find grassy areas near the hotel for pets as it’s located by an abandoned strip mall. Also, there are not a lot of restaurants within walking distance, but UberEats & DoorDash are always an option. All in all, we would definitely stay here again though.

Good stay!

Econo Lodge Miles City

Our stay at Econolodge didn’t disappoint. They only charged a $18 pet fee for both of our dogs, it’s conveniently located off of I-94, it’s near restaurants and there’s a large grassy area (which was wonderful for dog-walking) located less than a block away, behind the motel at a nearby hospital. When checking in, be sure to let the staff know about your pets upfront or there’s an additional $50 fee for not disclosing this info. We booked our room and there was some initial confusion about the room being prepaid. Subsequently, we were charged (again) for a night’s stay during check-in. But, after later explaining the mistake and providing proof that we had already paid for the room, the manager took care of it and the room charge was refunded back to our card in less than two business days. We would stay here again!

A welcome break & lovely stay!

Grandmas’s Old House

We really enjoyed spending the night at Grandma’s Old House in Post Falls! It was a nice break after being at multiple hotels and it gave our two dogs a great alternative to being away from home. The house had everything we needed and more and we were even able to get some much needed laundry done. It’s also located in a friendly neighborhood and UberEats is available. Those with curious pets might want to consider bringing along dog gates for certain areas inside the house, but you can easily just move things out of harm’s way too. Our host, Catherine, was very good with setting expectations and being responsive. Self check-in was a breeze as well! If we’re ever in the Post Falls area again, we’ll definitely stay here!

Nice Stay!

Holiday Inn Alexandria an IHG Hotel

My wife and I stayed at this Holiday Inn recently with our two dogs. This was the first time we’d ever taken our dogs to a hotel and we were a little apprehensive. Thankfully, we had nothing to worry about. The staff, pet-friendly room and our entire stay was great! Our room was located at the back of the hotel grounds near a small pet area. Just be aware, the electronic keycard slot for Door #5 (in the far back) doesn’t seem to work so you might have to walk back to Door #4 to gain access to your room. This was a little inconvenient as we had to manually prop Door #5 open in order to unload and reload our car, but other than that, there were no real issues with our stay. Also, there is no UberEats or DoorDash in the area, but there are a lot of fast food restaurants within a 3-mile radius. Overall, I liked that the hotel staff was pleasant, the hotel is located right off of I-94, doesn’t charge for dogs and offers rooms with a frig and a microwave. We would definitely go back there in a heartbeat!
