Room was a bit dated
Best Western of WalterboroNight table lamps had receptacles but they did not work. Both my wife and I used cpap machines so a bit of a challenge. Breakfast offerings more plentiful than other hotels. The attendant was on top of everything but hot items were only lukewarm, thank goodness for a microwave oven. This is a regular overnight stop on our trips to and from Florida and we will return.
A little distant from the highway, quiet
Econo Lodge Woodstock - Shenandoah Valley I-81A bit off the highway so no road noise. Nice area to walk the dog. No breakfast but the on-site restaurant offers a 10% discount, however, they open at 7AM well beyond our checkout.
Toilet was sluggish until it eventually wouldn’t flush just before we checked out.
Close to the interstate
Best Western Plus Hardeeville Inn & SuitesWhen I entered the room I noticed dried spots on the ceramic floor tile at the edge of the carpet. I’m thinking housekeeping missed an area. After moving our items in my wife noticed a wet carpet area near those spots. I blotted the wet area and it was urine. We went back to the desk and they moved us to a different room. All they had left was a room with two doubles rather than a king which we reserved weeks in advance. Good location but we will probably stay elsewhere next trip.
Great stay
Hampton Inn & Suites Woodstock VAI was impressed with the cleanliness. The entrance door was sealed after cleaning indicating that no one had entered the room after cleaning and sanitizing. The bed was comfortable and even though other reviews mention road noise it was not an issue.
Two Nights Into A Four Night Stay In The Hotel From Hell
Sheraton NashuaWe needed to have a four night stay in a pet friendly hotel/motel. We have stayed here in the past when it was a Sheraton hotel and when BringFido posted it as pet friendly we reserved.
When we arrived the driveway to the front door was blocked due to repair work. I had two choices haul everything uphill or up stairs. It was in the low 90’s and humid, by the time I had everything near the door I was drenched. We were assigned a first floor room only to find there wasn’t a fridge or microwave. My wife kept saying the room felt damp and later when I removed my shoes I found that the entire carpet was wet.
We packed everything up and moved to a second floor room.
The next morning at 6:30 we were awoken by the fire alarm and instructed to leave the building.
We ran a couple of errands and returned about an hour later to our room.
We had more errands to run later in the morning and found that the door would not lock! It had sagged so much the latch would not engage the striker plate! We found that the bathroom door did not latch as well!
It’s now 6PM my wife tried to call the on-site restaurant only to find that the phone was not working!
I won’t even describe how filthy the carpet is.
Oh, we returned in the late afternoon to find the room hadn’t been made up. Because the phone doesn’t work my wife went to the front desk to get a menu and was told the onsite restaurant was only open for dinner Thursday through Saturday and maid service was every third day!
All this for $100.00 a night! Radisson should be ashamed to put their name on this place!
Two more nights in this hell hole.
We would check out but as a senior couple with health issues we will endure rather than pack up and try to find another pet friendly place nearby
Nice stay
Comfort Inn Woodstock ShenandoahClose to the highway, fast check in, clean comfortable rooms reasonably priced. Due to COVID they are doing breakfast to go. As snowbirding seniors we make the north/south run often and this is our new second night stop!
Handy to highway
Best Western Point SouthWhen we checked in we were given a second level room despite booking almost one month prior to our stay with a small dog. The temperature was 95 and humid and by the time I shagged our things and the dog upstairs, I was soaked. When I found the ice machine it did not dispense ice. I then went to the front desk and the attendant did give me a half bucket of ice.
Pros, close to highway, doggy bag provided at check in, comfortable bed.
Cons, dated, two levels without an elevator, room could have been cleaner - black greasy handprint on the bathroom door and used dental floss on the bathroom floor. We won’t be back.
