Terrible!
Super 8 by Wyndham Tupelo AirportI walked out on my non-refundable reservation because this hotel was so bad. The grounds were dirty and littered with trash. The lobby and rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. The beds were rumpled. Adjoining rooms appeared to have people living in them. BringFido tried to get me a refund. I’m out $100 but there was no way I would stay in a place like that. Nothing like the pictures or descriptions. The other reviews must be shams. I would give 0 bones but one is the lowest!
Local business great coffee
Espresso 41I’ve visited Espresso 41 on two recent road trips from FL to NC. The coffee is great and I love the fenced area in the grass for my pup to run around in for a break. It’s right off I-75 exit 64 so it’s super convenient too. They also serve sandwiches and baked goods. I look forward to my next visit!
Great Break For Weary Travellers
Spikes Dog Park at Gas N' GoWhat a treat to stop for gas and get some play time in too. Grassy field for the dog to run and shaded picnic tables for us. A word of caution: the double gates don’t lock and tend to swing open so keep an eye on your pup. Ours almost ran out into the adjoining parking area.
Good place to stay the night with pup
Hampton Inn Key LargoOur family of 5 (4 humans, one pup) enjoyed our stay here. We had a room on the poolside that opened out to a grassy lawn, which was perfect for us and our dog. The pool was treated with ALOT of chlorine, maybe to help us feel safe in the pandemic. Staff were friendly and helpful. We needed spoons, and we got spoons. Nice to be on the water's edge, too, but make no mistake. The inn isn't exactly "beachfront." The beach has palm trees, there is a nice tiki hut, and kayaks to rent. But the beach is elevated by a seawall. So, there's no putting your toes in the water here.
