I have four dogs. Three are huskies and one is a pot bull mix.

This is the best dog beach hands down. Your pup will love running and swimming in the fenced area. The sand bar is also great for humans to play with their dogs. After recovering from a fractured ankle I really appreciate how well kept this dog beach is. I’m thankful my dogs have such a beautiful place to play when it is so hot out. They have been doing work in the yards in our neighborhood and being able to escape to Montrose dog beach has been such a blessing. Bring your card with you as you walk in. Parking is affordable. Just enter your license plate number. The free parking street/section is under construction at the moment. It also has a place for you to hose your dog off at the end, but not sure of the cost. There are some buckets inside the beach by the walkway so people can put the dog waste in and then take it at the end to put in the garbage cans outside the gate. Just know your dogs will come home tired, but oh so happy. Thank you to the city of Chicago for such an awesome place for our pets and to the friends of Montrose beach who keep making it better and better each year.

Bringing your dogs here will make their day! Viking has two swimming areas. My huskies loved it! My new puppy, a border collie/Australian Shepherd mix, also adores it. My senior pitbull will not walk to the second swim
area, but enjoys staying in the closer swim area. It has a machine (have to bring a debit/credit card to the gate) or a QR code to purchase a day pass. This wonderful dog park has trails and picnic benches. Plenty of garbage cans by the gates. It also has a bathroom for humans outside the fenced area. Bring your bug spray and enjoy a day with your pups!

This dog park is amazing. It has everything! The grass, wooded area, trails, boardwalk, and swimming area will make your dog so happy. All the other dogs were having a blast. My puppy loved meeting and running with the other dogs. It has plenty of trash cans by the fence for dog waste. The QR code said they needed to mail the day pass so you may to purchase ahead before going.

We took the advice to park at Weko and walk to the dog beach at Warren Dunes. It was well marked and quick to get to. We had the best day with the dogs. Thank you for the great advice on here!

This is really a gem! People drive an hour to get here because the dogs enjoy it so much. Biggest dog park around! Worth the drive from Illinois.

They have the best area for pets and their owners. We had 5 dogs between us and they didn’t even bat an eye! They offered them water right away. The food was outstanding too!!

I highly recommend this Dare! Our 4 dogs and my friends dog loved this trail and being able to get into the water at the end. The selfie station was a nice touch. West Beach just gets better and better!

This is definitely the #1 dog park in Illinois. The dogs love the swimming and the 44 acres of fenced trails. The two signs were confusing. I thought I paid $30.25 to park after submitting my license plate, but it looks like it was $30.00 per dog for a daily permit for a non-resident.

This was just what we needed on a hot, sunny day. The dogs were even allowed in the visitor’s center. Zoe and Juno didn’t know what to do with the fountain, but it sure cooled them off. We love the BringFido app!

This one is now listed as members only. We drove there but couldn’t get in.

Great hike on the 4th of July when everywhere else was crowded. A bike rider told us to hike to the observation deck and back which we did. We basically had the trail to ourselves. My dogs cooled off in the creek at the end.

The people are always awesome at this dog park. My dogs love to run along the fence in the middle. We go on either side depending on the crowd. The dog park in the town east of here the people are so boujee but not at this one. We only had a problem once with a lady who isn’t normally there who was running around telling people we didn’t pick up after our dogs, which wasn’t true. I kept following them around to clean but the lady seemed to have some kind of issue, but that is not the norm there.

People are awesome at this dog park! The dog park in the town east of here the people are boujee, but ar this one the people rock. My dogs love to run along the fence down the middle. We often use either side depending on the crowd. I highly recommend this dog park!

I’m not from the area so my husband and I couldn’t find this dog park. Maybe research more before going.
We always drove downtown to the dog beach but this park has it all! My dogs loved running to the wooded part and splashing alongside the Fox River.

This dog park is well done. The dogs enjoyed it and the people were wonderful too. The trails to the back are marked. We saw horses in the far back part. It was locked so we couldn’t get to the beach area. This park is worth the drive! It’s large and accommodates a big crowd.

This park looks small when you pull up, but it is massive. We see why it won awards! The fenced in pond and bridges really made my husky think she was hunting. The large dog section was huge with two gates into the pond area. This is worth a stop when headed North. Our dogs loved it!

When you arrive they give you a map. It says dogs can only swim in the Cox Hollow beach area. There is a secluded spot, but not fenced in dog beach area on the Cox Hollow Lake. They ask you to leash your dogs when they aren’t swimming, which we did. Our huskies loved swimming and hiking there!
