They really are dog FRIENDLY!
Lake Placid Pub & BreweryRight away without me saying anything, our server brought out a water bowl filled with ice for my dog, before we got our drinks! My pup got 5-bone service! Food and beer was all great. We sat outside where dogs are allowed. I would definitely go back with my boy!
Awesome
Whiteface Veterans' Memorial HighwayBeautiful drive up and plenty of places to stop and pull off for scenic views (or the dog to go potty). Once up there, if your dog is athletic it should be fine. Humans, be prepared for the stone steps. Lots leading up to the summit. If you don’t go to the summit, the views are still amazing up by the castle. So many dogs! Grab lunch with your pooch at the food truck and take pics. I carried my blind dog up some of the stairs but he did some on his own! He slept in the car on the ride up/down. Great place to hang with your pup. Dogs are not allowed on the elevator to the summit.
Great spot for us!
Mirror LakeMy dog is blind but that does not stop his adventures! We went to the lake for kayaking. He did great and loved it. Met another dog who was enjoying the dog beach!
Cool Spot But Difficult With One Person
Big Slide BrewerySo, it’s just my dog and I. No one else. Dogs are not allowed inside but only outside. How am I supposed to get a table when the hostess is INSIDE?! I had no choice but to pick him up in my arms, face the wrath of the hostess, and just tell her I need a table so I can get out of there. VERY inconvenient with one person and one dog. If someone can be with the dog while you get the table, or you call ahead, I think you will be more satisfied. Just made for an awkward start for us.
