Classy And Dog Friendly
The Vanderbilt, Auberge Resorts CollectionWe stayed at the Vanderbilt twice with our 2 dogs. The staff is a class act. They are attentive and helpful. The rooms were recently renovated. They are spacious. You can bring your dogs to the lounge. The hotel is in a quieter area, but a short walk to a park where you can walk your dog.
Dog friendly but expensive
Chatham Bars InnWe spent a long weekend at CBI. The staff was very professional and helpful. The location was great - across from the water and our room/cottage was large and well appointed. However there are only 15 dog friendly cottages and $200 per night per pet fee. So we paid $800 just for our pets for 2 nights! Dog friendly rooms are $1000 per night including fees. The website does say only 1 dog is allowed under 75 pounds. We have 2 toy dogs that weigh under 9.5 pounds. My husband was able to find someone who allowed our 2nd dog, but it was pretty expensive to do so. A pet sitter would cost less. There was an area right outside our room to walk and relieve our dogs. We will come back in warmer weather, but hope we can negotiate a lower dog fee.
Great location
Harborside Hotel Marina and SpaThe Harborside Hotel is located on the water and walking distance from restaurants and stores. There is so much to do with your dog in this dog friendly location. You are close to Acadia and can even bring your dog on some boat tours. The rooms were spacious.
Relaxing location
Inn by the SeaGreat dog friendly location in Maine. The rooms were spacious. The staff was great. There is a great walking trail close by. We would definitely return.
