We live in the area and bring our dog, Rufus, here when it's warm to take advantage of the lake. You have the option of the sunny route around the lake or the shady trail through the woods. There are also picnic areas, a playground, and a lavender farm across the street. Bring your own water because the only water fountain is by the playground. Dogs must be leashed.

The food was good, the service was too. However, if your dog tends to be scared by loud noises, I would not recommend, as the patio is next to a busy highway. Fortunately, our dog was not at all bothered.

The Sheraton is a decent hotel. Room was clean, standard fare. The hotel is located in an office complex with a lovely walking area complete with a small water retention pond. Will be staying there again on our return trip.
