A small slice of fun.
Pensacola Beach East Dog ParkWe came to pensacola specifically to give our elderly dog a vacation. He lost his swim loving mind at the dog beach. It's about half a football field of sand and shore between the two large signs, so theres enough room to camp out if thats your thing. Almost all the dogs were leashed, and everyone cleaned up after their animals. There are poop baggies available, but definitely bring your own
The water was a pretty bluish green and there were only minimal jellyfish. Will definitely come back if we are in the area. The beach is also close to a lot of dog friendly hotels and restaurants.
Covid review: most people were cool about keeping their distance, but a few dummies wanted to mingle. There were only a few groups of ~6. No masks, but we were outside and there was enough room to be like 10-20 ft apart.
Chill vibes, sweet patio area
The Blind Mule Restaurant & BarA chill, dog friendly restaurant with a laid back vibe and delicious food.
I got the blind bake which is essentially a creamy linguine cheese monster with shrimp. Loved it. My husband got a refreshing salad which was less interesting to me but what can ya do.
The wait staff brought out a bowl of water for my puppy and were friendly and prompt.
COVID review: all the staff wore masks, the tables were far enough away from each other, and there were signs about their sanitation procedures.
Affordable and Conveniently located
Hampton Inn & Suites Pensacola Gulf BreezeAn affordable, dog friendly hotel that's a 15 minute drive to the dog friendly beach and is close to a lot of restaurants and beach shops. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave, and the beds were ok.
Covid review: they had all the sanitation process signs in the rooms, all the staff wore masks, and they had a "contactless" breakfast and check out.
