Covered patio, generous portions
McAlister's DeliKind staff, clean, great food. No tv or fans on open air patio, but easy to move chairs/tables for a larger group.
Delish, college-town vibe
Re-cess Southern Gastro PubOn a one-way street, yet nearby college and Lake Lanier, so varies btwn quiet, showy engine-vibes, and local trolley. Frontside patio spans multiple restaurants. Very hospitable /dog friendly staff. Enuf room to put a big dog on street-side, as opposed to pedestrian friendly sidewalk side. Fresh fish, steak and veggie options. Pricey,. Maya really took care of us.
Excellent food under tropical covered patio
Big Joe's Bar & GrilleDelicious Sunday brunch with lots of fresh herbs/veggies and a traditional menu that seemed taken up a notch. Potato hash excellent. Large dog welcomed, spacious outdoor patio equipped with fans and space heaters. ~$20 pp all in (wish we tried the brunch cocktails though!).
Decent with fabulous outdoor space
Historic Whispering Woods Hotel & Conference CenterRoom was adequate, staff very friendly. Wing where we stayed was dingy, but the price was right. Large fields, pond on premises, great for exercise and open play for large dog.
Shaded Grassy Well-lit Field
Sonic Drive-InEasy access from highway. Huge field adjacent to restaurant with massive, old trees (good for kids to tree climb) shading the area. Field belongs to church next door and was very well-lit at night. Posts where cars park made it easy to secure dog next to car while eating. Car hop Miranda brought extra mints and napkins after noticing we were on a road trip.
