Not much for the pets

Beachside Hotel and Suites

Hotel was clean. They updated with paint and some furnishings. The kitchenette was impressive but not stocked with dishes or anything to use if you were to try and use little stovetop. We didn’t really need it. We used mini fridge and micro. Tiki bar closed early for food 7:30 on Thursday if you’re a late comer. Breakfast was decent for free. We were able to grab free surf rentals which was perfect for the kids to try. Tons of seaweed in water at the moment so had to search for a clear spot but had fun. Great entertainer Friday night with Telescope and kids pack of stickers and activities. Music was good. Pool was packed with kids and heared and too hot for us this time of year so we weren’t there too much. Bring your own beach/pool towel. I’m glad we did as a read reviews prior. Nice bathroom off breakfast area with refillable water fountain which we didn’t find until we left 🤣

FOR THE PETS - Dog area was basically a small grass area in parking lot with a drainage pipe so if it was rainy it may be flooded. No poop bags. Dogs are not allowed on beach there or in pool area which I get but is a large area of the property . If you want to take them to beach you have to drive 8 min south near downtown Cocoa at 4th street S beach entrance and dogs can be there like 7-10 am and 5-9 pm depending on time of year it varies. We took ours to Lori Wilson dog park (entrance is just after Lori Wilson sign) Nice dog park with lots of toys and pools for dogs.

Run down

Sun Stop Paw Park

There was caution tape and a bunch of junk in the pet area. I’m not even sure the gate closes. It’s behind the port-o-pots. I ended up just walking her up the hill in the back.
