beautiful park!
Newtown Dream Dog ParkI’m from NC and was in Atl for a couple days and saw postings about this park and decided me and my pup had to check it out :). I read some reviews where due to it’s popularity it can get hectic on weekends and you run a greater risk of encountering aggressive dogs or mean owners so we just went on a monday morning and it was amazing :). handful of dogs to play with, chill owners, lots of tennis balls to fetch, and fun log features to climb on and explore. really enjoyed it overall, and the astroturf was a huge bonus in keeping my guy clean while he ran around fetching balls or playing. one thing i would say is if you plan on going in winter, make sure to bring your own water for your pup, because they turn off the water in winter. we had to cut our play session a bit short because we forgot water, but we plan on going back! overall fun and beautiful park! i think going during a weekday and not during a really popular time was key to our experience, and would highly recommend :)

good trail, irresponsible dog owners
Abbey Nature Trailthere are signs at the beginning of the trail asking that all pets must be leashed to enjoy the trail. can’t say how many times i’ve come across off leash dogs who are out of control and come running up to me and my dog even when i ask the owners to please give me and my dog space. would it kill people to give others a little consideration who also want to enjoy the trail?

beautiful park, unfriendly dogs
Beech Mountain Bark Parkme and my partner went here with our dogs and it’s a really beautiful dog park, but we ran into quite a few aggressive or unfriendly dogs. just gonna throw this out there
