Super cute & pet friendly
Bark HarborNeeded dog treats & toys while staying in Bar Harbor with my pup. Went in the store with Cookie(my dog) and was easily able to get some dog treats + her favorite bones! We also got a super cute “Bark Harbor” squeaky toy, which was the perfect Bar Harbor souvenir for her!
Good Food & Very Dog-Friendly
Stewman's Lobster Pound DowntownTook Cookie(My dog) to Stewman’s our first night at Bar Harbor. They were very dog friendly, and even gave Cookie a bowl of water bowl without us having to ask. If you are looking for a Lobster restaurant or just a restaurant in general to bring your pup to at Bar Harbor I recommend this place, would definitely go back!
Great for adventurous pups!
Jordan PondMe + my dog absolutely loved going to Jordan’s Pond. There are some small cracks to jump over, rocks to cross, and lots of wood bridges/platforms. This trail was perfect for my 28 pound Shetland Sheepdog, and she didn’t have any difficulty with it. HOWEVER I would not recommend this trail for pups who don’t enjoy jumping or are afraid of going over rough/new surfaces like rocks & wood.
Perfect for any dog owner wanting to go hiking with their dog
Acadia National ParkI 10/10 recommended Acadia National Park for any dog owner looking to go hiking with their dog. The day we visited we did Bar Island Trail, Jordan’s Pond, and Cadillac Mountain. They were all super dog friendly and Cookie(my dog) who’s a 28-pound sheltie loved being able to climb on rocks and dip her paws in the water.
