Great Park near Castle Island
East 1st Dog ParkThis is a great park right near Castle Island. It's fully fenced in and has agility equipment at the end. There is no separation between big dogs and little dogs however. One major downside is the lack of shade at this park. It can get quite hot in the summer so it's best to go early in the mornings when temperatures rise. Overall really fun place to take your dog. Owners for the most part are really respectful and do a good job watching their dogs.
Huge Park in Hingham
Stodder's Neck Dog ParkThis park is so big you could easily lose your dog if they don't have good recall. Had a meetup here and it was great, there's lots of green space for the dogs to play on and plenty of access to beach areas where the dogs can go in the water and play. As we were entering the park I ran into someone with another Boston and they told me that their dog had just been bitten by another dog. Definitely witnesses people not paying attention to their dogs here which is exactly how bite incidents happen. Overall it's a great park and we'll definitely be back. Just be cautious with your own dog and make sure they have really good recall. There aren't many places in town for dogs to go swimming so this is a great spot.
Love this park
RUFF North End Dog ParkGreat hidden gem. If you don't live in the North End you probably don't know about this great park. It's two levels with really awesome shade and astro turf. The park is well maintained and the turf is cleaned regularly. Love all the different things for the dogs to jump on and run up. The park has a tunnel for the dogs to run through and a ramp for them to run up.
Awesome park in Somerville
Zero New Washington Dog ParkLove this park. It's so big and there are so many things for the dog to do. There's agility equipment and tons of space for the dogs to run around. Located in an office park area there's tons of on street parking and it's T accessible. Have a dog who loves fetch? Then this park is for you. It's a long fenced in park and there's a gazebo for the humans to sit under on a hot day. There's not a ton of shade but that can be rectified by going early on a hot day.
Great Park in the South End
Peter's Park Dog ParkThis is a really great park in the South End. There's a big dog side and a little dog side. The dog park is completely fenced in and is a great spot for meetups. The little dog side is shady and has rocks for the dogs to jump on. A lot of dog parks don't care about the little dog side but this one is really nice.
City Park
Carleton Court Dog ParkThis is a former tennis court turned dog park. There is nothing for the dogs to jump on and nowhere for them so seek shade. The asphalt gets extremely hot in the summer and can burn your dogs paws. They do have a kidde pool which people bring out occasionally but that's it. I'm not even sure if the kiddle pool is ever cleaned. It's fine if you live in the area but not worth making a special trip to.
Amazing space!
JB's Indoor Dog ParkThis space is so fantastic. It's big and extremely clean. I've visited other places that have had an odor problem but here it smells clean. You can tell the owner takes pride in her business. It's so nice to be able to have somewhere to bring your pups in the winter without having to stand outside in the cold. I definitely suggest getting a membership, it's totally worth it. My only gripe would be I want a second location a little bit closer to the city so that everyone can enjoy this amazing space regularly.
