A loop hole

Zion National Park

I expected this to be a short stop on my way to the red cliffs near by, however me and my dog ended up spending the whole day there. In the rules it says they have to stay on paved paths, turns out there are plenty of paved paths that go through the park, and there’s room on the side to walk, many people walk or bike the side of the road. I think in total me and my dog walked 13 miles to the Zion lodge and back (though we could have gone further if we had the energy), it was a very beautiful walk/hike. I would do it again, and I felt I had a fantastic experience even though there were no trails we were allowed on (with the exception of pa’rus trail, also very beautiful). if you’re dead set on going to the trails with your pup then I wouldn’t recommend, but if you just want to experience Zion, and take it in I would recommend and you’ll be satisfied with the paved paths.
