Great place to stay!

All of us, including our Golden Retriever, enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn in Blacksburg. Great hotel with a very friendly staff.

So nice we ate there twice!

The Sneaky Beagle

We went back on Sunday and everything was just as good as the day before. Maverick ate all of his frozen Fruit Loops and then took a nap. It was just what the hot pup needed. The food was great! Wonderful server again also.

Must Go!

Barc Parc South

This place was wonderful. Our Golden had a great time retrieving whatever we threw in the lake for him. Lots of other friendly dogs and we met some very nice people as well. If you have a dog, this is a place you have to visit.

Not accommodating!

Tupelo Honey Cafe

So I can’t say anything about the food (which is usually pretty good), because we didn’t stay long enough to eat. My wife asked for a shady place for us to sit with our Golden. We were taken to a table with very little shade and no umbrella. My wife asked if we could sit in the section next to us which had a lot of shady tables where we could eat. The woman told us that section was closed and they weren’t seating anyone else there right now. it was only 1pm when we got there. Anyway, the table itself was already really hot and our old boy hardly had any shade to sit in. After 5 minutes we decided to leave instead of sitting there and baking in the sun. What really infuriated me was that as we were leaving they sat a party of four in the very section we had just been told was closed. Not cool!
