Not the Best, Not the Worst.
Potomac Point Vineyard & WineryWe visited this vineyard during the fall. It was too crowded on a Sunday and half the staff was friendly while the others were not pet friendly. We had high hopes for this Vineyard but did not feel like they were as welcoming as the other reviews stated. There were also a ton of kids running around the area with no supervision which made it hard to enjoy the time with our pup. There were poop bags everywhere and the grounds were not well kept when we sat at the area near the parking lot.

Great Trails!
Lake Accotink TrailWe go here with our pups each evening. They love the small hike and beach area. We have our little spot around the bench area which they love. Its beautiful to watch the sunset with them while you're on the trail!

Very Pet Friendly
Lake Accotink ParkThere are so many trails here and they are very pet friendly. We go here every evening, for the past 10 years. Our dogs love it! But I do agree with the other review, the bicyclist do go very fast and dont have manners when it comes to warning you that they are behind you as they do in most parks.
LOVE IT!
Three Fox VineyardsWe love this vineyard. It is very pet friendly and the owner is very nice. Our pup loved being here in the Fall, it was amazing! We go back very often.

Lone Star Ticks+ poop everywhere
Dog Beach at Downs ParkI went less than a month ago, Aug 18’. It was very fun as it was our pups first official trip. As she was very small, we pretty much carried her throughout the trail until we got to the beach. That’s the only place she roamed around as we did not walk on any grass. When we were about to leave and tried to put her down in her booster in the car, we saw two lone star ticks on her that hadn’t yet attached. We were able to pull them out and kill them. I would encourage everyone to check their dogs very well. Although they may be on tick meds, you most likely are not and wouldn’t want your car/clothes/furniture infested, especially with a lone star tick and become allergic to meats. We also took a picture of the dead tick and had our Vet confirm it. There are plenty of other places in MD that are bigger and cleaner for pups to swim in! This one was disappointing compared to others we have now been to.
Also there was poop all over the dog beach. It would be nice for all owners to be responsible so that other dogs don’t step on it. Very unclean.
Our pup loved the breeze!
Watermark Journey - Cruises on the BayThe staff was great & the captain gave us a heads up when he would sound the horn so that our pup would be prepared. She loved it! It was our first outing with our pup & it was such a success. We plan to go again!!!

Very dog friendly!
Fairfield Inn by Marriott Erie Millcreek MallI stayed there this past weekend for Corgi Con and have no regrets! We got there at 1am from DC & the staff was super friendly. The staff member loved our pup! & gave us tips as where to park, when the puppy could roam in the lobby, etc. Although the hotel is outdated, it was better than the pics. & the food was a plus. Not as great as other Fairfield inns but it was definitely worth it for the night :) totally recommend. its also next to tons of stores & dining places! Also super close to frontier park!

Great Stream & trails!
Glencarlyn Park Off Leash AreaThere is so much you can do at this park. We take our corgi pup to the stream, walk through different trails, & always visit the caboose. Its clean & has a trail so that means your pup will most likely not get dirty from the walk!

Not so clean.
Dog Park at Shirlington ParkThe small dog area isn't so clean & my pup stepped on some dog's poop. The big dog area isn't as controlled & owners do not understand how rude it is for their dogs to wait at the gate & bark at every new dog. The water is gross. The stream gave our friend's dog some worms & parasites. I recommend Glen Carlyn instead if you're looking for a stream.
