Dog Park at Pennington ParkI have mixed reviews on this park... Many times we've been here and there were none or only one dog. The water station doesn't work so bring your own water. The terrain is a mix of grass and sand, and in the back there are stickers which were stuck to my dog when he explored the park. There are some agility climbers and tunnels which can keep the dogs entertained. I have met some great owners and have also encountered owners who are unattentive. Not sure why, but out of all of the parks I have been to, I find that this park seems to have the most aggressive dogs. Could just be timing... Mixed reviews, my pup loves it, but jury still out on my opinion of this park..
Favorite dog park in Central NJ
Rosedale Dog Park.... Thus far.... We've visited about 5-6 dog parks within the surrounding area and I have found this one to be the best. The size of the park is wonderful you can easily have 20 dogs in the dog park with PLENTY of space. I have found that most owners are attentive and there have always been dogs here (and I mean many dogs) everytime we've gone. The saddest thing for my boy is going to the dog park and not seeing any dogs, so it's a positive that there are always dogs. There is also a water section for the dogs to drink and play which is great (having a water-loving lab)! I would recommend this park to anyone with a friendly dog! I live almost 30 min from the park, we make an effort to take the trip.
Small dog park
Veterans Memorial ParkThe dog park is decent, but not one of the bigger ones in the area. It does have some agility objects like tunnels and climbers. My dog loves when there's things to climb on... There is partial rock partial grass terrain and the rocks do help when it's been raining. We have met very nice dogs and attentive owners here, but I would only go here for convenience as the dog park could be bigger.
Small dog park, beautiful grounds
Dog Run at Laurel Acres ParkThe fenced dog park is small compared to other local dog parks I've been to - its just a fenced in grass area. There aren't any agility objects or play items in the dog park. The actual park area is beautiful for a walk with the pup. My dog loved walking up the big hill and prancing through the open fields; I would only go back here for a walk, not to the dog park
