It’s definitely a great trail for Active pups and their owners! I do strongly recommend that you and your pup are experienced in these styles of trails though. 1.7miles up the mountain and it’s lots of stairs with little stopping room. You should keep your pup on a leash because there are lots of blind corners where you won’t see anyone till you round it. Great Views though! Not as busy on weekdays

I came out to Stumpy Lake on a Saturday morning with my mom and two dogs. The trails are all soft and minimally marked but thanks to all the trees it’s nicely shaded. while we saw other people there were many stretches where we walked alone. Definitely wear bug spray and protect your fuzzy kids with dog friendly bug spray. Will definitely be itchy the next few days! Otherwise great walk and it has two loops that measure out at roughly two miles. the only reason for the 4/5 is there isn’t much parking!
