We were very disappointed in this beach. The beach is not very nice, a bit on the grungy side. Dogs are unleashed and many of the dog owners were not watching their dogs. We saw 2 dog fights while we there. We also had 3 different dogs come onto our blanket at different times and stick their heads in our beach bag trying to get our dogs’ treats. Their owners were nowhere to be found. Also be aware that the Ft Desoto beach area has terribly sharp sand spurs in most of their grassy areas which would be very painful to a dog’s paws.

we were upstairs at sangrias. Staff was so welcoming. they loved on our dogs and brought them a bowl of water with ice. it was a rainy day so their covered patio with plush couches was so lovely. lots of room for the dogs to stretch out. we only had drinks, but the sangria was exceptional.
