Wonderful Stop On Road Trip

Rocket Dog Gourmet Brats & Brew

We loved this place and so did our dogs. It was hot out and no one was on the patio, they turned the misters on just for us and brought out bowls of water for our Great Danes. The patio is completely covered and fenced with access from the parking lot. Plenty of space for our giant dogs.
Food was fantastic. We had the Der Brathundt and the Napa Dog - both were so delicious! Great selection of beer on tap too. Such a relief to find this place on our road trip and the perfect stop before heading up into the mountains.

Excellent And Truly Dog Friendly

MacDuff's Public House

Beautiful big patio and also a big grassy area where the bar stools are. Pick up bags provided and big water bowls brought out. Super happy to see our 2 Great Danes, everyone loved them.
Had the beef stew and fish

Still A Great Stop On Road Trip

City of Gallup Dog Park

Remembered this park from a couple of years ago and stopped by while passing through on road trip.
Still a great stop - big park, water, easy to find, rarely anyone there.
Didn’t encounter any sticker burrs. Like the boulders and path around the permitted. Bags were stocked and waste baskets were clean.
Only dropped one bone because i would like more shade and some grass though I know that would be difficult in this area.

Good Food, Good To The Pups

Milo's Cellar

Plenty of space for our 2 Great Danes. Brought water bowl and were genuinely friendly to them. Sidewalk patio seating so keep in mind people (and other dogs) will be walking through. Had sandwiches which were tasty. Recommend the turkey croissant with Brie which is thinly sliced and tender.

Nice patio

Las Ramblas

Nice big patio with plenty of space between tables. Food was good, and priced similar to other restaurants right on the river. Nice view and we liked that there is a short wall separating patio from the the sidewalk. Everyone was nice to our dog.
Service was slow. Pigeons were attacking the leftover food on plates at an empty table. Didn’t offer water for our dog.

No sauce needed!

Bogart's Smokehouse

Ribs and burnt ends were amazing. They have a variety of sauces that are very good but aren’t needed because the meat stands on its own flavor. Ribs are tender with a great dry rub, burnt ends are perfectly moist with the fat rendered to the point it is deliciously edible. Potato salad was excellent and beans have that nice smoked sweet flavor that isn’t overpowering.
About 8 outdoor picnic tables that are dog friendly and they’ll bring your pup a bowl of water too. It’s a little snug for a big dog to lay and still leave room for people to pass by on the sidewalk but we found a spot between tables that worked for our big guy. Would definitely go back!

Unique and Comfortable

Moonrise Hotel

We loved the moon themed decor and all the memorabilia - very cool and unique! Our king room was a large size with comfortable bed, chaise lounge, desk, 2 chairs and an ottoman big enough to use as an additional seat. Also had a nice sized refrigerator. Bathroom was large and had great aveda products, nice fixtures, plenty of towels. I didn’t really enjoy the rain shower head style but husband liked it. The tile entry way was perfect for the dog feeding & watering station.
We used the free self parking lot that is right behind the hotel and felt safe leaving our car there. WiFi was free and worked well.
Our stay was a Saturday night and the room was right across from the elevator landing - we did hear some noise from people as they waited and a few of these instances were late at night. Wasn’t too bothersome, though I imagine it could be worse if the weather was encouraging more people to take advantage of the rooftop bar.
We didn’t use room service - the menu was small but looked to have a variety of options.
DOGS: they are dog friendly (not just tolerant) and provided a goodie bag for our Great Dane in the room that included fresh made treats that he loved, pick up bags, travel water bottle, and bowls. The bowls were too small for him but still a nice thought. His name was on the welcome board at the front desk and the staff were all very nice to our big boy. Room had no odd smells or hair so they are putting the pet fee to good use in cleaning. Potty areas are around the block which was a little inconvenient in the drizzle and wind. They do provide nice sized umbrellas both in your closet and down in the lobby.
The area has lots of food options and feels safe. We ordered pizza from Pi and took it back to the room - it was very good!

Perfect Location

Delta Hotels by Marriott Sault Ste Marie Waterfront

We had a king room that was not considered “direct water view” yet still had a fantastic view of the St Mary’s river and the International Bridge. We loved walking the boardwalk every morning and evening with our dog.
It was a large room with plenty of space for all furniture which included an oversized chair that our Great Dane loved, desk, refrigerator, tv, comfortable king bed, nightstands and small table next to the chair, with still enough room for our luggage on the stand & other duffel bag.
Room was clean with no signs of previous dog occupancy. Everything looked and smelled great. All items worked & were provided as needed including great shower water pressure, air conditioning, bathroom supplies.
All staff were friendly and helpful. So welcoming to our dog too. Room service was prompt, but a bit expensive for the quality of food.
Parking is free and convenient to entrances/exits. WiFi free and worked well.
We loved the hotel, and would come back if traveling through the area again.

Super Pet Friendly!

Drury Plaza Hotel Cleveland Downtown

This Drury is in such a cool building, the renovated Board of Education, and the large marble elevator lobbies on every floor are especially unique. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always greeting us and our dog with a smile.
The king room was a little on the small size though all the furnishings fit (comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, and large tv). We had to put the suitcase in the closet and there would have been no room for a second large suitcase if we had one.
Room & bathroom were clean - would not have known that dogs were allowed. Shower pressure was good and all products were provided (lotion, shampoo, conditioner). Plenty of towels.
We used the laundry room in the basement and found it to be functional for our needs.
The location is perfect with the huge grassy fields of the “mall” right outside, you can walk all the way to an excellent viewing point of Lake Erie, the stadium, NASA Science center and R&R hall of fame. The wide streets and clean sidewalks were wonderful for walking around town taking in some of the history of the city. The hotel is dog friendly (not just tolerant) and the fee isn’t exorbitant. There are numerous large grassy potty areas, one has bags & disposal bin provided, and all were clean with very few dropping’s left behind. Our Great Dane was welcomed with open arms.
The only reason we didn’t give this hotel 5 stars were the small size of the room, the quality of the food offered both at the evening & morning sessions were just passable, and most importantly- the dishes at the meals were dirty, with food still stuck to them. We had to wipe them clean with napkins before using. 2 of these 3 items can be remedied and this hotel would earn 5 stars from us.
