Super clean!
My Place Hotel - Amarillo West/ Medical Center TXThis is the cleanest dog friendly hotel we’ve been in to date. The check-in people were so friendly! The kitchenette and recliner are very convenient. The grounds outside are very clean also!
Good location, but dark & wet room
Courtyard by Marriott AlbuquerqueI’m not sure if we got an unusual room (ours was neighboring a handicapped room). However, it was very dark and wet. I believe the unit was somehow making excess condensation and making the room very humid. It smelled very strongly like mildew. There was also a big gap between the door and the floor where our room could potentially adjoin the handicapped room. I believe there used to be carpet that they replaced with vinyl and didn’t account for the new gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. Our hotel was said to be sold out that night. We got some lovely neighbors visiting from Texas that were super friendly! Unfortunately we could hear every word spoken, toilet flush, blowing of the nose, etc. and I’m positive that they could hear all of ours too. Ultimately, I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but the room didn’t feel very clean or private. (To clarify, our house keeper did a great job, but the room and it’s mattress and bathroom were pretty rundown.) If you’re on a road trip and need a place to sleep for the night with your dog and had no other options I wouldn’t mind this place because of its accommodating pet policy, proximity to the interstate, and areas to take your dog to the restroom. However, we were stuck here for 2 nights while we were waiting for our house to sell and it was very uncomfortable. I was surprised at the condition of the room for the price.
