Good Stay
The Lodge at Poland Spring ResortWe were there a bit off season, so had to check in at the main complex, but the room was good with a fridge and microwave. We were initially assigned a 2nd floor room, but they quickly reassigned us to the 1st floor when we said Benson couldn’t climb the stairs.
Great crew, lovely cruise
Lake George Waterfront CruisesWent for the sunset cruise. Cloudy skies, but a great cruise nonetheless. Crew was wonderfully accommodating. Benson, our OES, is 10 years old and 80 pounds. She just couldn’t make it up the steps (open steps and a bit steep), and we absolutely can’t carry her. Crew let us stay on the main deck (normally a no dogs area), and we had a great chat with the first mate. It felt like a private cruise! Very pet friendly, but be aware your big dog may have some issues on those open steps.
Good food & very dog friendly!
Libby's Bakery CafeStopped in for lunch. good sandwiches and coffee, and asked for a little plain turkey for the pooch. No problem! They brought out a nice serving just for her! prices are good. Only 4 outdoor tables, but all on the front porch - fully covered and entertaining for the dog to watch the people passing by. Highly recommended!
Fast, good food, and dog-friendly
King Neptune's LoungeWe were seated right away on the end of the deck. Benson enjoyed the view, and her own personal water dish. Staff was happy to see her. Good food, right on the waterfront. Though I suspect you might have a little wait during peak hours.
Comfortable and dog friendly
Roaring Brook Ranch ResortWe came for a rainy mid-week getaway. Resort staff was very dog friendly, and they have designated pet rooms set aside. You can also leave your dog unattended in the room if you want to do a human-only activity. Lots of property to walk around, and the geese and horses were nearby. Only challenge was getting up the stairs to our room - our 80 pound OES was uncomfortable with the open steps, and is definitely too big to carry. Some treats and coaxing got her up, and by day 2 she was walking them with no problem.
