Great food, lots of love for Fido

I love when you go to a restaurant and your dog is truly welcome with open arms. Our server Donald was so awesome and other staff also made sure our girl had water at all times. We had steaks all around and they were fantastic. The desserts too. The Riverwalk was packed, but we never felt rushed; quite the contrary. I definitely recommend it, and will definitely be back the next time in town.

Food is fantastic

La Fonda on Main

I love the food here. I ordered a Steak with egg relleno and loved it. The chicken enchiladas were ok compared to what I ordered. As far as my fur babe, she was allowed in; which is always a plus. They didn’t give her any service, ie not even water, but I had her plate and I served from the glass, so it was fine. The patio is very cozy, great ambiance. Our service ranged from excellent to meh, but they are super busy so no real complaint. If I find myself in San Antonio again, definitely coming back. Mixed feelings, but very grateful

Sometimes finding a place to bring Fido is hard, so on that alone this place gets kudos. The food is really fantastic for bar food. They have water bowls for dogs, so that’s cool too. Now, the dog section is three tables outside in the parking lot, so zero for pub or any kind of ambiance. Service is taken inside and your food is brought out. Our server was kind, so no complaints, but if you’re looking for service, that’s what you will get, so depends on what you’re looking for. I went on a weekday, so we were the only ones outside. We ate good food, had a couple of drinks, and left. If that’s what you need, that’s perfect. Wide selection of beers, too. So if you are in the area and need good bar food and a place to bring Fido, yep, go here. I would not drive in from outside the area though.

Great staff

In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out is a great fast food joint but the burgers don’t taste like fast food. I was able to take my dog to the outside tables and it was great to have her with us with no problems. I ordered a burger for her and they make a non-salt patty she loved. The only place for the dogs to go to the bathroom is the grass on the sidewalk and it works ok.
